Our supporters

The Bullingdon Community Association is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation. The main source of income for the community centre is generated by letting out space to community groups and for private events, such as children’s parties. So our main source of support and income is the community we serve. But we also benefit from some other sources of support.

Oxford Lottery: Did you know that you can support the Bullingdon Community Centre by joining the Oxford Lottery?
 
The Oxford Lottery is a weekly online lottery to help local charities and community groups. The Community Centre is one of the nominated charities. Players can enter for a chance to win a jackpot of up to £25,000, whist nominating their favourite charity as beneficiaries. Visit the Oxford Lottery website to buy tickets and play the game. A single ticket costs £1 and 60p of your ticket goes directly to good causes. Nominated charities receive 50p, with 10p going to the Oxford City Community Fund. The draw takes place every Saturday night and the results are posted on the Oxford City website.

Grants: Grants are an important source of funding for the BCA. Since the community centre reopened in January 2023, and the end of November 2025, the BCA has recieved over £23,000 in grants. The main sources of grants have been Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council.

The list of funders includes: Connected Communities Fund (County Council) £9,383; Councillors’ Community Budget (County Council) £7,977; Community Profile Grant Fund (County Council) £3,000; Ward Members’ Budget (City Council) £1,377; Community Impact Fund (City Council) £600; Oxford University Community Fund £886; and the Co–operative Society £500.

The grants have been used for wide range of items. They helped with the running costs of the community centre (e.g. energy costs); the purchase of furniture for the main and rear halls and equipment for the kitchen; the purchase of food for the free Community Lunch; publicity material; and a sign on the Slade.
